Denise Maduli-Williams

Denise Maduli-Williams is the winner of the new Ron Lee Technology award. Denise Maduli-Williams has been teaching ESOL and English for more than two decades. She earned her BA in English and Linguistics from Cal Poly State University and then joined the Peace Corps and taught English in Botswana. Next, she taught in New York City public high schools while earning her MA in TESOL from Columbia University Teachers College. For the past 15 years she has taught ESOL and developmental English in community colleges in Chicago and San Francisco. She is now an assistant professor of ESOLL and English at San Diego Miramar College. Her passion is educational technology, which she enthusiastically integrates into all of her classes. When she's not teaching you can find her enjoying the beach, behind her camera as she hones her photography skills, or cheering on her school-age sons at their basketball and flag-football games.
